A Message from Our Professors
Why Study With UKTATM
UKTATM’s onsite lectures are held in our classroom in Manchester, Trafford Park, a location that is both accessible and easy to reach. Our courses are taught by industry experts, including Dr. Tony Booker, a reader (associate professor) in ethnopharmacology with a focus on East Asian medicine. Dr. Booker has been a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for over 25 years and is a past President of The Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).
Our clinical training takes place at our teaching clinic in the heart of London, a convenient and well-located facility. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain post-graduation clinical experience in Taiwan.
Taiwan’s unique system of Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) practice makes it an ideal place for students to further their education. CHM is systematized and integrated directly into hospitals and primary care facilities in Taiwan. The country also has a rigorous tradition of meticulous supply chain management and herbal processing, ensuring consistent, high-quality medicines. Taiwan is actively engaged in high-quality, ongoing research in CHM from various perspectives—pharmacological, clinical, sociological, and historical.
