UKTATM Short-Term Taiwan Placement 2025 – Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

Participants must be current students or qualified practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture or herbal medicine). UKTATM reserves the right to request proof of qualification or student status.

2. Application & Payment

A completed registration form must be submitted. An invoice will be issued and must be paid before the program begins. All fees must be paid in GBP. Course fees are payable upon acceptance of a place and must be paid via bank transfer. Full payment must be made by the stated deadline.

Late payments may result in the cancellation of your place.

3. Flights & Travel Arrangements

Participants are responsible for booking their own international flights.

UKTATM does not hold responsibility for flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections.

Participants must arrive at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) by 6:00 PM (Taipei time) on July 6th, 2025 to join the group.

Hotel arrangements will be announced closer to the trip start date. Full details, including location and check-in instructions, will be provided in advance of departure.

4. Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance must be arranged independently before departure. Please note that the program’s coverage only applies after arrival in Taiwan and does not cover any incidents prior to landing.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure may be eligible for a partial refund.

Cancellations made within 30 days of departure are non-refundable unless a replacement participant is found.

UKTATM reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the program due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund (excluding personal flight costs) will be offered.

6. Program Participation & Conduct

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled activities, including lectures, clinical visits, and cultural excursions.

Professional behaviour and respect for local customs, staff, and fellow participants are required at all times.

UKTATM reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.

7. Medical Disclaimer

Participants are responsible for managing any pre-existing medical conditions and informing UKTATM of any relevant health issues before departure.

8. Liability

UKTATM is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense incurred during travel or while participating in the program.

Participants are advised to take all necessary precautions for their personal safety and belongings.

9. Changes to Itinerary

While UKTATM aims to follow the published itinerary, we reserve the right to make changes due to logistical, weather, or health-related circumstances. Any changes will be communicated in advance where possible.
